This signal is along the former CA&C, which became the Akron Branch, and abandoned by CR in 1996. This line's future is murky, however, US Rail's website claims they own this line and operate trains on it, even though the growth on and around the very hard to find rails shows otherwise. |

These signals are found well south of the Akron Yard, where thedouble track main is bi-directional. The old Amtrak station can be seen in the distance. This picture is taken from the former EL right of way through Akron. Not sure who the random man in the photograph is by the signals, but he was watching me very carefully and suspiciously. |
